DIY Toilet & Shower Cleaner
Soft Scrub / Cream Cleanser
Low-tox alternative to mould / soap scum cleaners
Ideal for showers and tiles.
The products we use from a supermarket can be filled with chemicals and we just don't know it!
Even water that hasn't been destilled contains a higher concentration of trace minerals, which can stain your showers.
These easy recipes take just 10 minutes to whip up, and actually WORK,
and with your choice of essential oils, smell amazing!
What you'll need:
1 cup bi carb soda
1 cup citric acid
2 TBLSP cleaner concentrate or liquid Castile soap
10-15 drops essentials of choice
our picks - Lemon, tea tree, lemongrass, lemon eucalyptus
1. Mix all together in a very large bowl or on a large tray.
2. The mixture will puff up a lot but continue to mix every hour or so and leave to dry out for a day or so. Once dry transfer to a large container.
For use in toilet sprinkle 1-2 TBLSP around bowl and let sit for a few minutes. Scrub with toilet brush.
For use shower add 1/2 cup to a bowl and add a dash of water to make a wet paste. Sponge over shower walls and screen and base using a scrubbing brush in higher soiled areas and rinse off.
Note: gloves should be worn when using in the shower as the citric acid can sting if it comes in contact with any cuts and scrapes of the skin.
