DIY Shower Cleaner - tough on grime, easy on tiles!
Low-tox alternative to mould / soap scum cleaners
Ideal for showers and tiles.
The products we use from a supermarket can be filled with chemicals and we just don't know it!
Even water that hasn't been destilled contains a higher concentration of trace minerals, which can stain your showers.
These easy recipes take just 10 minutes to whip up, and actually WORK,
and with your choice of essential oils, smell amazing!
What you'll need:
1 cup citric acid
1/2 cup bicarb soda
15 drops essential oils (our picks: Clove, lemon, lemon eucalyptus or lemongrass.
Clove is great for mould so that added to the mix is wise but not a requirement!)
gloves for cleaning (advised as any cuts on hands can sting with the citric acid)
1. Put ingredients in large bowl and add 1/4 cup water.
It will froth up so do this immediately before running onto glass and tiles.
2. With a sponge wipe all over the shower and give a little more attention to tough areas.
3. Leave for 10-30 mins and then wash off while wiping with a sponge.
Try it for yourself and tell us what you think!
